"What a fantastic weekend!

This was indeed a dream come true. The cars arrival was a complete surprise which made it all the more exciting. The Aston arrived on time and the delivery was quick and straightforward. The driver was friendly and approachable and no question, (however stupid it may have sounded to him!) was met with anything less than good humour and a reasonable reply. The tuition was efficient and I soon got the hang of things.
The car was in excellent order.
The interior was spotless and so was the boot and engine bay. The engine was the main focus for the more "technically minded" spectators!
Throughout the weekend the car performed perfectly.
Collection was on time and the driver was friendly, courteous, and even took the time to talk about this car and the others in the range.
I had an absolutely brilliant time and would recommend the experience to anybody. Moreover I think the service received, both in the booking process and on delivery and recovery of the car, enhanced the whole experience, and I would be happy to recommend Aston Hire to friends and family."

"What we planned was the trip of a lifetime over two and half weeks and over 2500 miles, through Northern Europe in an open topped Aston Martin, the coolest car manufactured, taking in the Italian and Belgium Formula 1 Grand Prix's.

Where ever we went the Aston attracted immediate attention and arriving in the city square of Rouen the locals were all over the car, this continued through out our trip and especially in Italy where the youth swooned! The weather though not really hot, was warm enough to have the top down for the vast majority of the trip and we took full advantage of open air motoring. 

As we arrived back at our hotel in London the Aston Hire transporter was waiting and the car was immediately loaded. Quite frankly we had pangs to see it leave as it had been the source of so much fun over the last two and a half weeks.

In terms of the DB7 it is very much a driver's car with an immense amount of power and acceleration, driving it requires a certain amount of respect and concentration and you have to overlook a number of Aston foibles. With hind sight it was truly the "Trip of a Life Time" and we are both committed Aston fans and I think the DB7 vantage with become a great classic car in the future and you can see already how prices are pushing upwards. 

We would love to own one but living in Johannesburg it is not practical, as driving long distances is just not done and it is easier to fly the 1000 miles to Cape Town. Keeping a car in the UK again for very limited use again would be foolish. 

The sensible thing, would be just to hire a one through Aston Hire as and when we need it and the DB9 Volante is next on the list but perhaps after the winter. By the way in mid October I am testing the new Mclaren SLR at Paul Richard in the South of France, as a guest of Nick Faldo so that should be fun. Someone has to do it !!!

Finally, thanks to you all at Aston Hire for helping to making this such a memorable trip and really for my wife and myself it was a dream come true and really " the driving trip of a lifetime"

"Aston Hire's Service is very friendly. I was a little concerned at how serious my intitial request might be taken, but I needn't have been. Sam was polite, helpful, and courteous. But most importantly, she was friendly. I felt like I was dealing with a real person, and not just someone who is only interested in hiring a car to me. She patiently replied to all my emails requesting various quotes depending on timings, etc. And I was very pleased with the final Quote that I settled for.

The car was due to be delivered at 5pm on a Friday to my works address. Sam had already let me know that it would probably be between 2 and 3pm to allow for traffic getting back to them. At 1pm our receptionist came through with a wry smile on her face saying, "There's a guy wearing an Aston Hire top here to see you... ??" My stomach did a little somersault as I realised it was here.... !

I went out to see it being all covered up on the lorry, but I must say that I was a little disappointed... It was uncovered... I did mention this to the driver (who's name I am afraid I have forgotten), and he explained that with the high winds that had been tearing across the country it would not have been safe. Duh... Of course. But, once the car was off the lorry, he cleaned it, polished it, and blacked the wheels so that he could hand it over in as pristine condition as possible... Just brilliant.

It was a bit of a "main event". Everyone from work came out to see it... and even some of our suppliers that were visiting couldn't resisit it... and half the business park !

Your driver showed me all round the car, then took me out for a drive so that I could get used to it. And I daresay that he was making sure that he was happy to release it to me ?? And who would blame him ?

What's to say ? It's an awesome car. But it was always going to be. This, for me, was about living with a DB9 for the weekend. How was it ? Could I actually live with one ? I did a track day at the end of last year with a DB9 and a Bentley Continental GT and I loved the DB9. I just had to try it as an everyday car, hence the hire. The car was a lot easier to live with than I expected. There was the initial worry about the size of it, but I soon found myself getting used to it. I spent all day Saturday taking friends out for rides in it, taking it for a stretch down the motorway (no, not too fast), and round some of the wider country roads that we have here. They all loved it, and so did I.

Anybody that hires this car is in for a real treat - from dealing with the company themselves, to driving the car. I will definately be doing it again.

Just one final thing... My friend's camera rolled under the seat by mistake. He hadn't realised and neither had I. On Monday morning Sam called me to ask if I was missing a camera... I checked with my friend and indeed we were. She offered to send it back to us by Recorded Delivery, and the next day the camera arrived well wrapped up. Not only do they provide an excellent service with excellent, well maintained cars, Aston Hire are also an honest company. Something truly to be valued.

"From what my wife has said about organising the day, Aston Hire were polite and very professional affording the us the flexibility we needed on agreeing a date for delivery. That profesionalism was exemplified by the delivery chap (whose name I embarassingly can't remember!) who was corteous and deftly apologetic about being a tad late - recent dealings with builders etc makes it seems that lateness is the customers fault! Anyway although I was understandably excited, he provided a thorough yet practical breifing on driving the car.

The days drive was superb. We were very lucky and had gin clear skies over the Yorkshire Moors and clear, empty roads winding to the horizon!

The car itself was a beast. Although not brave (or stupid) enough to drive it anywhere near its limit I found that cruising along with the noise of the engine really was entertainment enough. When I have seen Astons on the road I become a little boy again so I couldn't help but drop it down a couple of gears when I saw that knowing look of appreciation on the faces of people I passed.

The handling and acceleration of the car really dissolved into the background when you consider the noise and the design of the car. The simple act of walking back to the car after lunch was filled with such intrepidation. As I approached the car and saw that distinctive Aston nose I thought "wow - I'm actually going to be able to get in this and drive away"!

Anyway - enough ramblings, what about the practicalities? Although the start sequence was a little complicated (I forgot to put my foot on the brake a couple of times so couldn't start it!) once you got going it was really easy to drive. The car seemed a little unwilling at times to go from reverse to 1st gear but that was probably just me. The car was comfy to drive although the sat nav system was a nightmare to use!

In summary, the car was great and your service was as good - if not better! Thank you. "

"I recently had the opportunity to hire the new Aston V8 Vantage from Aston Hire, and to be honest I was lost for words when I caught my first glimpse of the car. 1st I would like to tip my hat to the entire Aston-Hire Team that handled my entire request with ease and hassle free. The moment the covered delivery van arrived I was sure that this would not be disappointing, from the delivery to the 2 days I had the car and the pickup was just top notch professionalism.......now enough about them and more on this glorious car, and believe me WHAT A CAR! I am a Porsche lover, I have owned several over the years and currently have a Cayenne Turbo and GT3. I have been eager to compare the V8 since its launch and I have read all the reviews and was itching to give it a go in the flesh. From the moment you walk around this car you know that it gives you a sense of utter joy and satisfaction and this is before you get in! The car is detailed so well and very solid to drive. It is not as jerky nor as brut to drive in the city as some have claimed. It is very well tuned to handle the pot-holed roads of London and can take the corners with out bouncing around.

The cabin is just a great place to sit and the sound....oooooh the sound of this car is just charismatic! I loved every minute of driving it, parking it, and walking by it. If you are stuck between purchasing this car and an alternative such as a 911 or Jag....forget it....they are all great cars but none of them will leave you with the grin on your face like this. Put it this way, in the real world you would be mad if you subjected your car to the regiment that test drivers put these cars through to achieve their 0-60 times and lap times....in the real world what matters is what experience you walk away with after you turn off the engine and go to sleep at night....with the Vantage....trust me...you wont sleep....you will still be driving!
